It is easy to reach Sardinia !

Sardinia lies in the centre of the Mediterranean Sea, few hours far from Africa, Northern and Eastern Europe, British Islands. It is connected to the major Italian and European Airports and Ports.

Travelling by air

Sardinian airports are: Cagliari-Elmas, Olbia-Costa Smeralda, Alghero-Fertilia.
Sardinia is served by the following National Airlines: Meridiana, Alitalia and Air One.
Alitalia operates almost all over Italy and Europe;
Meridiana provides connections to several Italian Cities like Bologna, Verona, Pisa, Turin, Rome and Naples as well as connections to several European Cities.
Air One operates daily flights from Alghero and Cagliari to Milan.
Many low-cost airlines operates in Sardinia, connecting it to the main European Capital Cities.

Travelling by ferry

Sardinian ports are in Cagliari, Olbia, Porto Torres, Arbatax-Tortolì and Golfo Aranci.
Ferries and ships connect the Island with the main Italian and European ports.
There are two types of Ferries: Ferries that do long-night crossings and fast ferries; they are all equipped with cabins, restaurants, lounge, bar area and other facilities for passengers.
Connections between Sardinia and Italian peninsula are operated by:
Tirrenia, Moby, Sardinia Ferries, Linea dei Golfi, Grimaldi.

Compagnie marittime

Island inner connections, for example from Palau to La Maddalena or from Calasetta to San Pietro, are operated by Saremar that is part of the Tirrenia Fleet or by Tris. If you would like to visit Corsica while you are in Sardinia you can comfortably travel on a short-crossing daily ferry from Santa Teresa di Gallura to Bonifacio (operated by Saremar).


 

Getting around Sardinia by bus

A bus at your disposal gives you the freedom to explore Sardinia and go wherever you please. There is so much to see and do in this fascinating island, so many places to discover and sights and sounds to experience. Go wherever the mood takes you, through the rolling hills of Sardinia, past ancient archaeological sites, vineyards and little towns or along magnificent coastal roads to nice resorts and fishing villages: the choice is yours!
